Welcome to our club
We have a full schedule arranged for the year ahead with plenty of social events and are
confident that 2016 will be another enjoyable, exciting and successful year. I do hope that you
will manage along to many of our events and enjoy your tennis at Lomond Park.
We are always open to new members of all standards. We offer the opportunity to get
involved in competitive league tennis for those who want it, alongside a very active social
tennis element – and everything in between! And with 5 top quality courts and a new practice
area, you will always be able to play and take advantage of our excellent facilities.
You will be immediately impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at our Club. And

teams and 9 junior teams entered in the East of Scotland leagues which run from April through
Men's practice nights take place every Monday night from 6.30pm and Ladies' practice nights
take place every Tuesday from 6.30 pm.

We are always looking for fresh and new talent so if you are interested in playing for any of
the teams, please make contact using one of the email addresses above or come along to any
of the practice nights which will begin in early March. You will be most welcome.

Our coach is Michael Fairburn. He is a fully licensed UKCC Level 3 Tennis Coach and will continue to run a variety of programmes for the club. He is also available for private group and individual lessons from beginners through to advanced players.
History of Our Club
At the time of our centenary, one of our members, Clive Garlick, very kindly produced a book on the history of our Club. This is a fascinating read and here is a link to access it: Lomond Park Centenary Book.
Our Wimbledon ballot will be held on Sunday 26th April. Further details will be emailed to all members in February.

Members will receive an email at the end of every month with news and reminders of
forthcoming events in the following month.
Social Sunday tennis will take place most Sunday afternoons. This year it is being organised by

physiotherapy treatments. When making an appointment, inform them that you are a Lomond
Park member to receive your discount.

If you are able to help with any of the events please contact any of the committee members.
Your help will be gratefully received whether it be baking, barbecuing or helping out with the
‘First Friday’ social evenings.
Subscriptions will be due at the end of March and renewal emails will be sent to all members
at the end of February.
